Ecological Walk
ISB
How Green Is ISB?
Tuesday, I asked Mr Dyke, a MS teacher and passionate environmentalist, to take our class around ISB campus for an Eco walk. This adventure aligns with both our Social Studies unit, Fragile Earth as well as our Mission & Vision to be Caring Global Citizens.
We were fascinated to learn about the ways that ISB is taking charge and looking after our environment, from paper usage, to cafeteria and food choices, to our on site bio-digester, and community garden, we even had a sneak peek at the Slow Loris campaign happening in the HS library. Wow!
In the coming weeks, my students will be creating Public Service Announcements to share with the world, inspired by this discovery walk. Please keep a look out on your child's blog for these announcements and chat with your children at home about what it means to protect our ecosystems.

The gas from this digester cooks the pasta in our cafeteria!
