CHS Students Learn About Careers in the Medical Field

Big picture
Project Lead the Way (PLTW) biomedical science students in Rachael Travis's class investigate a crime scene over the death of Anna Garcia (a fictional character). Students gather evidence leading them to do DNA testing in the lab, form their own experiments to test blood splatter results, and both perform lie detection tests and analyze the graphical results. These students in grades 9-12 are interested in learning about the various careers available in the medical field. They also will learn many clinical skills and lab techniques throughout this school year.
