COOPERATION
Our theme this month is Cooperation! Take a look at the Smore for songs, morning meetings, activities and read alouds that all Barbieri Students will be engaging in throughout the month.
🐟🐟🐟
All Barbieri Students read the book Swimmy by Leo Lionni. This book is about perseverance and cooperation. All classrooms decorated ONE big fish together as a classroom and presented their classroom fish at their Community Meetings today! They explained how they worked together to complete their room fish!

STUDENTS NEED COATS FOR RECESS 🧤🧣❄️🧥
Teachers are encouraged to take their students out every day, unless weather conditions make it unsafe. Our Hawks need fresh air, sunshine and physical activity! Students participating in recess will NEED TO WEAR A COAT. Please send your child to school with A COAT and any other necessary accessories to safely enjoy outdoor play! Recess is now 30 minutes every day. It is not safe for students to be outdoors without coats for that long period of time during chilling temperatures.
We do have extra outerwear available here Barbieri School so please call the main office at (508) 626-9187, if you need assistance! The office can connect you with Ms. Rebecca Salguero, our school Wraparound Coordinator, will be happy to help you!

PARENT TEACHER HOME VISITS
The school district is restarting the partnership with the Parent Teacher Home Visits (PTHV) Program to strengthen relationships between families and schools and to improve academic accomplishment, family participation, and communication between school and home.
Educators' (including aides and assistant teachers) and families' participation in the Parent Teacher Home Visits Program is optional.
The visits are in pairs, and the educators contact the families to invite them to partake in the home visit, which takes 30 to 40 minutes. Interpreters can be arranged if needed.

ACCESS TESTING 2023
The window for ACCESS testing will open on Thursday, Jan 5th and will close on Friday, Feb. 10. 2023. Our ESL teachers will be administering the assessment. We thank you all in advance for recognizing the tremendous effort that goes into assessing our students
During testing students are NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE ACCESS TO PHONES OR SMART WATCHES. Please leave them at home. If they come to school they will need to give it to the teacher until their assessment is over.
