Strat-Class News

Weekly updates about Ms. Stratmann's Class!

September 28- Oct 2, 2015

Student Achievement!

Super proud of all my students who made A's and B's of their spelling tests last week! You all worked very hard to study your words and I am very proud of you. Our class average was at 84%. Yipee!

Get ready for a new set of words this week!

What's New??

We now have a Motivating Memo wall in our classroom where students can write positive messages to each other. All of my students love to see the messages to them written by friends and teachers. I'm sure they would love to have special notes from their family members as well. If you are interested in writing a positive note to your student, feel free to message me and we can work out a way for your message to be posted on our wall.

Another new highlight is that I offer tutoring every Wednesday after school until 4:30. Please contact me if you are interested in signing your child up for extra tutoring after school.

I have set up a new Google Blog for my students, and I hope it is a little more user friendly that the last blog I had set up. We are always looking for other classrooms to blog with, "hangout" with, or Skype. If you are interested please get in contact with me.

Think Through Math (TTM) and I-station are Back!

Students have begun working on TTM and I-station again this year and can be entered into the prize drawing for their hard work and passed lessons. Names will be drawn at every AFV, the first Friday of every month.

Be sure to have your students sign on at home and come early to school and work in the computer lab before school starts. The computer lab is open every morning from I believe 7:30 to 8:00, and my room is open from 7:30-7:45. If students need to use the computers in my classroom during recess or extension to work on homework or class work they may do so, with a note from their teacher. Mrs. McCue is also available in the computer lab EVERY Monday from 3:30pm to 4:30pm.
