a note from the principal

Good afternoon Easley families,

As you know, Mr. Bugajski is leaving us at the end of the month to work in Orange County. I can't say enough wonderful things about Jeff and what he has brought to Easley over the last two and a half years. From the start he has been a true administrative partner with me, leading the school through a pandemic and supporting our staff, students, and families through two of the hardest years we've ever experienced. From the start he has shown our staff grace, gratitude, appreciation, and unwavering support all while learning how to be an administrator during a pandemic. Mr. Bugajski has built such great relationships with our students and families, and I know he will be sorely missed. Not only has Mr. B. been an awesome partner for me, but he’s become one of my closest friends and I wish him all the best in his new position.

As sad as I am to see Mr. B leave us, I am just as excited about our new Assistant Principal, and I think you will be as well! Last week an interview committee conducted Assistant Principal interviews and last night the DPS Board of Education approved Mrs. Farrah Boggan as our new AP. Mrs. Boggan is no stranger to Easley and has been our Teaching and Learning Coach for the past five years. She is also an Easley parent and longtime DPS educator. Mrs. Boggan knows our students, families, and community and has been an integral part of the work we've been doing and the successes we've celebrated. Farrah attended NCCU for undergrad, received her Master’s in K-12 Literacy from UNC-CH, and her administrative licensure from Appalachian State. Congratulations, Mrs. Boggan! Your Easley family is excited about your new role and couldn't be prouder!
