JSE Tracks

Principal's Weekly News December 15th

Keeping you informed of all the "tracks" we make at school and in our community!

On behalf of all JSE staff, I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I will be visiting each classroom this week for a fun lesson on relating the unique qualities of a snowflake to the unique qualities in each and everyone of us! I am grateful for the opportunity to spread the joy to each of our JSE kids.

Students look forward to our classroom parties on Friday afternoon. Thank you to all who were able to donate supplies and volunteer. We appreciate it!

Our choir has diligently practiced to lead the entire school in a JSE sing-a-long on Friday morning. They will also be caroling to our younger grades during lunch. This provides our students an opportunity to give back to their school, showcase their hard-work, and celebrate their leadership as role models. Thank you to Mrs. Alonzo, our music teacher for organizing this experience for our schoolhouse.

Please see below another exciting community event for our students on January 10th at Wheeler High School.

I wish you all a wonderful break and look forward to more learning endeavors to

s-t-r-e-t-c-h everyone of our children's academic achievement goals in 2015!

One of the best gifts you can ever give a child "The Gift of Time"

Of course, one of my favorite ways to spend time with children over break...READ, READ, READ as this is truly one of the best long-term gifts you can give your child's future!

Another is practicing math facts. This website will make flash cards for you: http://www.mathfactcafe.com/ and https://xtramath.org/ is an awesome free resource.

Keep your child engaged with one of our educational subscriptions that provide home access, Reading Eggs and Sumdog are just two that your children have become familiar with.

Start with a reading or math practice goal each day and increase it as your child achieves it, this will build your child's stamina for working hard!
