HRE Feed the Hungry & Helps Houston
Our school and community have another exciting opportunity! We are going to fill a semi-truck with supplies to help an elementary school affected by Hurricane Harvey in Houston, TX! Braeburn Elementary School was flooded to the point that it needs to be rebuilt. In the meantime, the students and staff of Braeburn have been relocated to a former high school. They are in desperate need of supplies. The school's population is 99% Free and Reduced, and 80% ENL. Many of the students' homes were also impacted by the hurricane.
Our big goal is to go beyond this initial truck donation and "adopt" this school in need. We are hoping to match up classrooms, create pen pals, Skype, and much more!
Your child should have brought home information about the supply drive that goes from September 14th - September 23rd. Filling a semi is a HUGE task, so we need your help to spread the word throughout the community and seek donations!
