Students & Alumni Welcome the WFB Team
High School senior, Yana Fuhrman, welcomed staff members to the 2023-24 school year. Yana reflected on her time in WFB schools (since 4K!) and how her education and teachers have shaped who she is as a person.
Past and current WFB students surprised staff members, sharing some of their favorite memories and a few things they are looking forward to ahead of the school year.
The District is committed to the vision and goals as outlined in the District Focus Plan.
As we reflect on the past year and "Remembering Our Why," we thank our outstanding staff, students, families, and all of those in our learning community who continue to make Whitefish Bay School District an exceptional place to learn.
We hope that you enjoy this year's Annual Bulletin.

Enhancing a Culture of Safety: A Daily Collective Responsibility
School Safety Preparedness
As we enter the 2023-24 school year, safety continues to be of utmost importance across the Whitefish Bay School District. We share the daily collective responsibility to enhance a culture of safety for all.
The District is committed to ensuring safety in our schools and we are sharing an overview of the plans we have in place to foster this goal.
Please pay careful attention to the information in the letter linked below. It includes information on the district's Emergency Operations Plan, School Safety Drills, and Safety Terminology & Processes should a safety event occur.
Building a Culture of Safety - Student and child safety is a priority for the School District of Whitefish Bay. At home, in the community, to and from school, and while at school, we share the collective responsibility to ensure our loved-ones are safe.
To and from school - Families and community members, please remember to look out for our many students as they walk and bike to school. We want all to arrive at school safely and make it home safely as well. Let's be safe.
Safety Review - Safety is a baseline need for all students and staff while at school. If our school community members do not feel safe, not much learning can occur. We will be spending time at the beginning of each school year reviewing key safety procedures and drills with our students in developmentally appropriate ways. Preparation is Key.
Collective Responsibility - We believe that safety is a collective responsibility. All staff, students, parents and community members play an important role in ensuring all are safe. Should you or your student(s) see or hear anything concerning please do not hesitate to contact your school's principal, the District Office or the Whitefish Bay Police immediately. We would rather err on the side of caution and safety than be sorry for not investigating a concern.
Safety Resources for Families
Positive Peer Relationships: District staff members work with students to develop problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, but there are times in which students need additional support or intervention. It is essential that families let school officials know if there are peer relationships within the school setting which require support or intervention. Please review the District policy and exhibit below, related to student bullying, harassment and /or hazing.
- Policy 411.1 Student Bullying, Harassment, and/or Hazing
- Exhibit 411.1 Reporting of Bullying, Harassment, and/or Hazing Form
Each school's website has information and a process in which students, parents/guardians, or school community members can report alleged student bullying or harassment. You will find it under the school's Students and Family Resources Tab - Potential Bullying Incident Report Form.
Should you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact your child’s school.
SPEAK UP, SPEAK OUT Anonymous Reporting Resource: Students, parents/guardians, school staff, or community members can submit a school safety concern or thread via the Wisconsin Department of Justice Office of School Safety SPEAK UP, SPEAK OUT Resource Center, a 24/7 threat reporting system. Learn more about SPEAK UP, SPEAK OUT.
