Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day deliveries sent to the middle school will not be delivered to students as this creates an undue burden on our front office staff. Please refrain from having any items delivered to the school. Any deliveries are not accessible to the student until after the school day ends.

Mr. Lemoncello's Library!

Students in Mrs. Kendrick's 6th Grade Communications classes used imagery to draw their own version of a character in their novel study book, Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library.

KAY CLUB

Twenty-five KAY Club members attended the Area 1 unit conference at West Franklin Middle School on Thursday, January 26. They met KAY members from many different schools, listened to some interesting presentations, discussed what they wanted their purpose to be in life, and made doggy treats as a community service project. They also learned a lot about the Kansas Association for Youth Leadership Conference in July.

Happy Birthday Kansas!

Paola Middle School students in Ms. Yerkes class have spent the month of January working hard on creating their very own Kansas magazine to commemorate their home state since Kansas became an official state on January 29, 1861. Students researched the very first Kansas Day celebration, which by the way happened right here in Paola back in 1877! They also researched some famous Kansans and some different restaurants in Kansas. The students who participated in this Kansas magazine project were: Rosie Blackie, Emma Johnson, Cruz Guzman, Lila Blackie, Declan Bean, and Massimo DiMartino. They used the Canva program. Good job, students!

Attendance at Games

We are excited that so many of our students are attending games to cheer on our Panthers! This creates an awesome atmosphere, and makes for a fun game night. Reminder that all middle school students need their student ID for free entry, and are not admitted entry to the games until 3:30.

Ultimate Pyramid Challenge

6th Grade finished up their unit on Ancient Egypt with The Ultimate Pyramid Challenge. The classes voted on their top 6 pyramids. The staff at Paola Middle School voted on the TOP Pyramid Designer. Congratulations to Caleb Rivera-Rodriguez for being our Top Designer!
