MP2 is broken up into 3 sections:
16 (now 7 days) before Thanksgiving
13 days before Winter Break
16 days before end of MP2
Our focus this first 16 days is Kindness Mindfulness messages. I look forward to seeing your Window Crayon messages in your classroom and your emphasis on brain breaks throughout the instructional day to build Mindfulness opportunities and keep our kids engaged
The 13 day segment we are going to push PALS QUICK CHECKS in K-2 and FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT---having great formative assessment.
Observational Look Fors next week:
- Small group reading lesson plans are present to guide your reading group and you are recording formative information during the reading group.
- Formative assessment in each lesson

Minfulness, Kindness Window Crayons
What are you posting in your room to reflect Kindness, Mindfulness? In Rachel Grochowski's room and second grade they are featuring a student (Logan pictured here) and then his classmates write kind messages to him. Great idea.
I look forward to see how each classroom expresses this initiative. Window Crayons were presented to grade level leads this week so I look forward to your messages.
