Life is a Short Trip
#1 "Drops of Jupiter" by Train (4:19)
I chose this as the first song on my soundtrack because it has been my sister's favorite song since she was little.
#2 "I Don't F**k With You" by Big Sean (4:44)
I included this song because I have past relationships that I can relate it with. I have friends and food, I don't need you.
#3 "Underground Kings" by Drake (3:32)
I dedicate this song to my friend Katie from work who opened my eyes to a whole new appreciation for music. She loves Drake to death and raps every word for me when I play music at work.
#4 "We Be Steady Mobbin" by Lil Wayne Ft. Gucci Mane (5:10)
I put this song on this list for a few reasons. I really just like Lil Wayne but this song also reminds me of my friends and fun times.
#5 "Forever" by Papa Roach (4:06)
I've known this song for a long time but never really looked at the lyrics until now. I included it because it almost perfectly describes the relationship I had with my ex, Angela. It was an unhealthy relationship from the start but we were stupid and in love and ignored it so we both got hurt in the end. Needless to say It was really hard for me to get over her.
#6 "Day N' Nite" by Kid Cudi (3:08)
I really like Kid Cudi and there have been a lot of times I've felt alone and this song just gets to me.
#7 "Cough Syrup" by Young the Giant (4:09)
#8 "Young Forever" by Jay-Z (4:13)
Not only is Jay-Z my all-time favorite artist and rapper, but his music inspires me. This song always lifts my mood and makes me realize how great life is and that we just need to enjoy it while we can. I got the title of my soundtrack from this song.
#9 "You're Gonna Go Far Kid" by The Offspring (2:58)
This song reminds me of Florida and my best friend Kyle who still lives there.
#10 "Promises" by Wiz Khalifa (3:30)
This song reminds me of Ariel, my girlfriend, because she loves Wiz Khalifa almost as much as I do. Also the background music in the song is from the movie Titanic which we both really like, and I'm not ashamed of it.
#11 "Thnks Fr Th Mmrs" by Fall Out Boy (3:23)
I am however ashamed to say that Fall Out Boy was all I listened to in Elementary School and it brings back lots of memories.
#12 "NYLA" by Blackbear (4:47)
I really just like this song because I've wanted to go to California for a long time now and one day I will and I won't come back.
