Life after the chivalry was not easy either, our lord provided us with everything we needed. Armor, swords, housing, food, and a horse, yet in return we protect his manor.
Not just the land needs protecting,we protect the serfs, nobles, and then also the lord.After the festivities attending the conferring of knighthood, the young knight was free to go where he pleased. As a knight-errant he appears in the pages of medieval literature seeking a fair maiden in need of a champion or a strange knight with whom to joust.

My response to how the knights lived is surprised. The knights protect and risk their lives for people they don't even know, and then, they get paid with land and shelter. I honestly wouldn't want to be one.
