Nov. 14, 2014
This week we learned about The First Thanksgiving. The children loved the story. The room was quiet and the children watched intensely as I read. We are making Pilgrims and Native Americans, and of course turkeys. We also created a list of interview questions that we would have liked to ask the Pilgrims and Native Americans. I encourage you to ask your child about what they have learned. They are so full of curiosity which makes for the best lessons in school!
Please note: it was necessary to cancel our farm trip due to an issue we could not resolve. We will do our very best to schedule another trip in the spring.
I look forward to seeing you at conferences. I urge you to please be on time as the schedule is extremely tight and I will need the allotted time for each of you.
Fall Grant News!
The Kindergarten teachers along with Mrs. Miller, our technology teacher just recently received a Robotics Grant! Your children will reap the benefits! Very exciting!
In one of our language arts centers, we take turns reading repetitive sentences. The children take turns being the "teacher."
Veteran's Day 2014
We sure do have spirit! I was so proud to see the children in their red, white and blue this past Tuesday. The patriotic colors along with the music made for a very special morning!
