JUSTICE
Rights of Citizen: hold official offices, own property, write contracts, and go to court
Male citizens enjoy all rights
Female citizens had limited rights such as no voting
Slaves were property and almost had no rights
Freedman (former slaves) also had limited rights
Children of freedman were full Roman citizens
PUNISHMENT
Judges made decissions by looking at evidence or trials
There were fines, banishment, slave, beating, and execution if guilty
If you kill your father which is called "Patricide" you will get drowned
Slaves were beaten harder work or sometimes crucified
