Summer Vacation on the Horizon!
Things you Need to know
Please Read the Carefully.
Dear Cicero SDA Elementary School Parents,
Here we are at Memorial Day weekend. Some days have been long, but most have just flown by this year. I thank God for a beautiful group of boys and girls and young people to work with and for this year. I thank Him for all our volunteers and those who have worked diligently on the sidelines for us. And I thank the Lord for each of you. As we look back on our year, we see where God has blessed. May we all be thankful.
There are a few things that you need to know about, so please read all of this.
First, there is no school on Monday, Memorial Day. We resume classes on Tuesday for our last week of school.
Please be sure that all your child's work is in. Teacher's have been sending home those missing paper reports. I have seen where one or two missing papers can make quite a difference in a grade.
Most of the clothes that cluttered our hall last week have gone home. If you think something is missing, check our lost and found box. Clothes left will be donated.
GRADUATION DAY IS THIS COMING THURSDAY EVENING AT 7:00 AT CICERO SDA CHURCH. ALL STUDENTS NEED TO ATTEND. Our choir, under the direction of Miss Tori Bolin, will be singing. You won't want to miss this! I've been listening and it is beautiful! Also, our chimes, under Mr. Leal's leadership, will be playing a very special song. The music teachers and students are working diligently for you. The music teachers are requesting that the students wear black pants or shirts and white shirts or blouses. Please be there about fifteen minutes early. We hope you will stay for the entire program as well as the reception to follow. We will be practicing at the church once or twice this coming week on Wednesday and Thursday. Lets all support our four young ladies who are graduating, and celebrate the way God has blessed.
Report cards will be mailed to you.
Next Friday our beginning band is planning on playing for us as part of our worship. If you have an interest, you are welcome to come meet with us for our joint worship time.
Mr. Rich Uphus and Pastor Clark are planning some field day events for this next Friday, our last day of school. What a blessing these two men have been to our young people!
School will be dismissed for the summer at 12:00 NOON next Friday.
Until then, keep up the good work. School is not over. Try to see to it that your child gets the proper nutrition and rest necessary to do their best. Remind them that all assignments are counted, and that all school rules apply - those written as well as unwritten. Let's have a good ending to our year.
Have a Happy Sabbath and a good Memorial Day!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Olson
