Dear Families
We have had a few busy weeks of learning and fun.
Book Day
Huge thank you to families for dressing up your children as book characters. They all looked amazing and were so proud of how they looked. We really wanted to give everyone a prize! Throughout the day classes engaged in fun activities connected to some great books. I am sure all our children have been inspired to read more.
Athletics
Our athletics day was a super day. The weather was just perfect and allowed our children to have the best day. It was impressive to see them cheering and supporting each other. Congratulations to all those children who won awards and excelled on the day and congratulations to all our children for having a go and giving it their best shot. Well done to Yellow House who was the overall winner on the day.
Attendance / COVID
Now that the weather is showing signs of improving perhaps we will not have so much sickness and children can attend school on a regular basis. It is important for continuity of learning and friendships that children attend school every day. I know COVID is still around and will probably continue to be with us for some time. Please ensure you test if symptoms are displayed and stay home for 7 days if positive. Please notify the school if your child tests positive and register it on the portal. If you are unable to register on the portal we can do it for you. We distributed more RATs this week. If you run out please contact the school we may be able to help.
Transition
Our 2023 Foundation students enjoyed their first transition session last Friday. If you have a pre-schooler who will be attending school next year and you have not enrolled them yet please do so as we are beginning to plan for 2023 classes. Our second session is this Friday.
Camps
Good luck to Year three for their camp at Toolangi and to the Years 5/6 Snow bunnies for their camp at Mount Buller. I am sure they will all have a great time.
Happy Fathers ‘ Day to all our dads…. we hope you have a great day.
Kind regards
Denise

So on September 16th all our teachers will be involved in professional learning and planning for the end of the year. Their Care will operate for any family who wishes to book in to use their services on this day.

reporting covid positive
Reminders
Monitor closely for symptoms. Children must stay home and get tested if showing symptoms. If test positive, isolate for 7 days until negative. Notify the school that your child has tested positive.Test twice a week during school time.
We need everyone healthy and fit so that learning at school can continue. We all know what remote learning is like and we dont want to go back to that.
Please talk to your children about the importance of mask wearing and please send a mask each day to school with your child. Our junior school children are not required to wear a mask but we certainly encourage it if they are comfortable to do so.
If your child is a household contact they must take 5 rapid antigen tests (RATs) over 7 days and receive negative test results and wear a face mask (if over 8 years old) in indoor spaces.
Children who have had COVID do not need to test for 30 days after isolation has ended..
If your child tests positive please register this on COVID Test Portal or call the school to inform us and we will register for you. Please do not register negative results.
Please consider getting your child vaccinated if you have not already done so.
