Tell Us Your Story!

We would love your help to tell the story of our school and the families that make our school community so special. We will use this information on our school website to help other students and families know more about our school. Use our online form to tell your story and even upload a photo if you have one!

Child Care Subsidy

If you pay for child care, you could be eligible to receive money to help cover some or all of your out-of-pocket expenses. Check the district Child Care Subsidy information web page for more information. Since the funds will be distributed until they are gone, applying early is in your best interest.

After-School Clubs!

We have several clubs running now including Pokemon, art, writing and more! These are a great way for students to connect and meet other students who share their interests. Students can ask their Homeroom or Advisory teacher to find out how to sign up. Information about our current clubs and when they meet is on our website.

FLEX Enrollment for the 2021/22 School Year

The district Learning Options application window starts Monday, October 19th. New families wanting to join FLEX for 2021/22, must apply no later than Friday, December 11, 2020 at 4:00 PM (PST). If you are a current FLEX family and are planning to continue with us next year, there is no need to apply. Your spot is already reserved!

Mid-Year Openings

Do you know someone who is interested in joining FLEX this year? We are accepting a small number of applications for openings at the first quarter break (November 13, 2020) or at the semester break (February 5, 2021). Check our enrollment web page to learn more and access the application once it goes live.

The Library Book Bus Is Here!

The Library Book Bus is rolling and bringing school library books to K-8 students in their neighborhoods. All BSD students, including FLEX, can check out books from their closest neighborhood stops. Students just need to give their student ID numbers.

If you are in grades 9-12 please complete the library book request form. You will need to go to your neighborhood/home school to pick up your books.

Student Health Survey

The Beaverton School District is continuing our participation in Oregon’s Student Health Survey (SHS). The SHS is a survey sponsored by the Oregon Health Authority Public Health Division and the Oregon Department of Education. The survey will gather information about health risk behaviors of students in grades 6, 8 and 11. Our District uses these anonymous results to learn more about:

  • Student health and safety

  • Student mental and behavioral health

  • School climate and culture

Please read information about the survey, including a form to fill in and return by October 26th if you don’t want your student to participate. The Student Health Survey will take students 30 minutes or less to complete and will be administered through Canvas in Health/PE classes between October 26 - November 6 for middle school and in Advisory between November 3 - 24 for high school. Students will be provided information on support resources prior to taking the survey.

Attendance

If you need to report an absence, please call our main number: (503) 356 - 3720. You can then press “1” for attendance and leave a message or press “0” to reach the office.

To be marked present, students should log in to Canvas and fill in the attendance form every day. Elementary students can find this on their Language Arts course. Secondary (6-12th) grade students need to do this for each class they have on A and B days, and Advisory on Wednesdays.

Middle and High School Schedules and Attendance

We have had many questions about our flexible schedule and attendance. We now have a guide intended to help you keep track of what classes are available on A and B days.

Thanks for reading!
