Smore Newsletters
Happy Thursday families!! I hope you find these newsletters to be informative. You will be kept up to date on classroom events and happenings. This is also a platform to showcase the work your children are doing. There will be photos, as well as, student work samples. Some weeks will have more information than others, it just depends on how much I am able to capture during all of the excitement :-)
Updates
Your child is expected to read 30 minutes every night. We have had daily conversations around the value of reading during our class time. Let's try to be certain that his doesn't feel like a chore, but instead that your child lives through reading just as we do...on a ride in the car, waiting at the doctor, finding a good magazine, sitting with their favorite book, at the sports field. It doesn't have to be a laborious 30 consecutive minutes. Think about your child's needs.
Also, math homework begins tonight. Please support your child in attempting all problems. If you begin to see lots of frustration during this process, please let me know. I am a firm believer in productive struggle, but not when it creates a block for future learning.
Welcome Back!!! The sweetest faces ever!
