Calling All Dads, Granddads, Uncles & Dad Dudes!
Calling all Fathers, Grandfathers, Uncles and other father-figures: On Tuesday, September 17th, from 6-6:30pm, come learn about signing up as a Rountree WatchDOG. A light snack will be provided. Please RSVP below.
Who are Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students)?
WatchDOGS are fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other father-figures who volunteer for at least part of one day each year at an official WATCH D.O.G.S. ® school. During the day, WatchDOGS may read and work on flash cards with students, play at recess, eat lunch with students, watch the school entrances and hallways, assist with traffic flow and any other assigned activities. This allows them to engage actively with not only their own students but other students as well. Many school principals have reported that the mere presence of a WatchDOG dramatically reduces reports of bullying. On the day of their participation, WatchDOGS are given a brief review of their involvement, and they wear an official WATCH D.O.G.S. ® t-shirt with a disposable ‘Dog Tag’ identifying them as being part of the WatchDOGS Program.

Rountree Celebrates Our School Culture
Rountree Family,
re: Home Project
Students will be learning about the customs and traditions of families in different cultures, including their importance and how they are passed down from one generation to the next in the coming months . We are asking that you help your child at home with a family culture poster project. Poster Paper and instruction will be sent home in your child’s backpack. These wonderful posters will be displayed together as a Roadrunner school-wide culture quilt. You may be as creative as you wish, but must fit items on the provided poster paper! We hope that you enjoy working on this project together as a family.
Please return the completed project by Friday, October 11th.
