THIS WEEK ON THE RIDGE
Dear Coyote Parents,
It has been a busy two weeks. Our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade benchmark results have been scored and are school wide data shows that our students did very well in Reading, Writing and Math. Next week 2nd, 3rd and 5th grade students will take additional benchmarks for reading, writing and science. Teachers will share student’s results with parents as these results help guide instruction for the up-coming testing season and help individual students and teachers in their goal setting for the spring semester.
On February 9, 2016 2nd grade students held their annual economics fair. Students collected $1.327.00 which they donated to Reagan High School Got Hope Club that honors and provides assistance and service to young cancer patients. The club was recently formed in honor of Reagan student, Kaylee Carew, who recently passed away after a battle with cancer. The club goes to local hospitals and brings games, activities, art supplies, puzzles, and more to provide joy and companionship to the children.
During Random Acts of Kindness this past week students also made contributions to purchase hearts for 25 cents. The proceeds from Share Your Heart go to the Ronald McDonald House benefiting families with children in the hospital. The Share Your Heart Campaign will continue through this Friday and you can still donate 25 cents for a heart to decorate and hang in the front foyer.
