Resources for YOU!
Please enjoy this collection of books that highlight the celebrations of various cultures around the world during this holiday season.
Miss Brooks Loves Books!
With the help of Miss Brooks, Missy’s classmates all find books they love in the library—books about fairies and dogs and trains and cowboys. But Missy dismisses them all—“Too flowery, too furry, too clickety, too yippity.” Still, Miss Brooks remains undaunted. Book Week is here and Missy will find a book to love if they have to empty the entire library. What story will finally win over this beastly, er, discriminating child? William Steig’s Shrek!—the tale of a repulsive green ogre in search of a revolting bride—of course!

The Three Snow Bears
When Aloo-ki glances up from fishing and sees her sled dogs floating off on an ice floe, she races after them. She comes upon an igloo with no one home and goes inside.
Turns out the polar bear family who lives there is out walking while their breakfast cools off. Aloo-ki eats some soup, tries on their boots, and finally crawls into the smallest bed for a nap. Meanwhile, Papa, Mama, and Baby Bear see her dogs adrift, swim out to rescue them and return home to find Aloo-ki fast asleep in Baby Bear's bed. Click on the book cover to watch this book.
The Cat in the Hat
Dr. Seuss books in general are filled with valuable lessons, and The Cat in the Hat is no exception. I don't care if he is flashy, funny and fun, if you let the Cat in the Hat into your home, you are going to have a mess to deal with. The Cat in the Hat has been used to entertain generations of children.
