PLEASE RESPOND
Music Recital, May 12th
May 12th at 6:00 P.M.
The evening (6:00 P.M.) of May 12th is the date for our music recital. ALL STUDENTS ARE INVOLVED in this program. Our students have been going to music classes with Mr. Leal once or twice a week all year.
Now it is time to share what we have learned, in the form of a nice evening for you. Only, there seems to be a little problem. Several of the students are telling Mr. Leal that they will not be there. This puts several things planned at risk, as it takes the entire octave to play a piece on the chimes and bells. One or two notes missing in the piece and, well, you get the picture and can imagine the sounds.... Can you please help us? And put Mr. Leal and the teachers at ease?
If your child really cannot be there, would you please personally write a note to the classroom teacher or Mr. Leal right away? Otherwise, we will assume that the "I can't be there" coming from your child is just wishful thinking or some such thing. Having been young once, not so very long ago, I remember....
Students who are taking lessons and practicing every day, please let us know what you plan to share that evening. It doesn't need to be long, and you don't have to be great. We are hoping that you will share with us what you are learning. Parents put a lot into those music lessons, and helping you get your practice time in. It is fun for us to see and her what you have accomplished. Think of it as a gift to your parents. And you can invite family and friends, if you'd like to.
So, please respond, either by note, text, or reply to this email. By the way, we do not anticipate that this will be a long program, and we have moved the time up to 6:00 P.M. to make it easier for families who have other engagements that evening. .
