Are you feeling well today?

In order to protect the health and safety of employees, staff, and students, all those who access Pasco County School locations must self-screen for symptoms and other risk factors of COVID-19 daily. If you answer YES to any of the questions, you should NOT be on a school campus or school district office. All three self-screeners – the Student Self-Screener, the Employee Self-Screener, and the Visitor Self-Screener – are accessible from the district’s COVID-19 protocols page and are posted on each school web page.

DEER PARK NEW HOURS:

8:10 AM - 2:20 PM

New Bell Schedule Starting January 4, 2022

This post was published on 11/03/2021.

Due to the chronic bus driver shortage, many students are arriving late to school every day, which results in a loss of instructional time. To address the problem, the school district is implementing a mid-year change to school bell times. School starting and ending times will be adjusted starting January 4, when students return from Winter Break. Use the link below to view the bell time changes.

APEX COLOR RUN FUNDRAISER

Thursday, Jan. 20th, 8am

8636 Trouble Creek Road

New Port Richey, FL

Our PTA big APEX fundraiser and all funds go directly back to students as the PTA provides grants for staff requests; with this fundraiser, our staff can purchase playground equipment, PE equipment, and many more items. APEX FUN RUN has been part of our yearly fundraisers, and we are very excited to bring it back once more with incredible leadership lessons, which end with a FUN RUN DAY, and kids love the excitement.

Ten approved volunteers per grade level are needed for this event. First Come first serve.

10 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED PER GRADE LEVEL.

Deer Park Elementary is holding a school-wide fundraiser starting Friday, January 7th, with a FUN RUN on Thursday, January 20th.

Deer Park PTA is helping to recruit volunteers for the APEX Fun Run on January 20th. There are 10 volunteer positions available for each grade level.

  • Lap Markers: They need 10 volunteers to stand on the "start line" and mark students' Fun Run shirts with each complete lap. It's a fun, high-energy job - and you can cheer on the students and tell them what a great job they are doing as they pause to get their lap marked.
  • Water Volunteers: They need 2 volunteers to help with the water table on the track - filling cups and helping to keep kids hydrated (and probably help clean up the cups before the next grade's turn).
  • Approved Volunteers will go to Sign Up Genius select volunteer times. First come, first serve, only 10 per class. All volunteers attending will be required to wear a mask during the event as you will be interacting with many students in close proximity.

IMPORTANT VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS:

Anyone wishing to volunteer at a Pasco County school must complete a volunteer application. In addition, Florida law requires all school volunteers to undergo a new background check each year.

Volunteer applicants who are 18 years or older and no longer in school are subject to a background check against the national sexual predator/offender registry and must pass a criminal background screening. A volunteer must be approved before volunteering. Once you have received your approval email, you may contact your local school to find out what volunteer opportunities are available.
