Communication Requirements
Communication: Dojo, Email, and Phone Calls
Classroom Behavior:
- Dojo Positive and Negative Behavior (All other charts and plans outside of DOJO need to stop being used immediately)
- Positive and Negative behavior needs to be turned on in the DOJO App
- You must document the positive and negative behavior in the Dojo app...Remember this is our campus currency. You will give the student $$$ at the end of every week with the total number of Dojo points they have.
Parent Contact Expectation:
- Minimum 2 positive contacts weekly
- Negative Behavior- Negative mark on DOJO and the Why behind it or a phone call (NO EMAIL)
- Multiple Negative marks on DOJO (2-3 Negative Marks over a week then parent needs to be contacted by phone)
- Do you best to have the positive outweigh the negative
- Remember as you speak to parents you are in customer service
- Remember that the goal is to change the behavior and the only way for that to happen is to have the parents on your side...Start with the positive
Contact Log: Every teacher will document parent contact using the log attached or one that you are already utlizing. A copy of the parent contact will kept and brought to the PLC meeting each week.
Ahoy,
As you all have learned we are moving from mylearningplan to TalentEd this year. I have been very impressed with TalentEd thus far. Attached is a document that will guide you though signing your waiver, inputting your goals, and completing your self-reflection. If you are on a observation this school year, you do not need to complete a waiver. The goals are the ones we worked on several weeks ago and I asked you to house them in a googledoc until Talented was ready. I hope this document makes this process easier!
Let me know if you have questions!
