Volunteer Background Checks
- Volunteer/chaperone background check forms must be renewed each year. You can find the form on our website in the Community/Parents tab under Volunteer Form. We will also need a copy of your driver's license.
Daylight Savings Time
The first Sunday in November of 2019 is when Daylight Saving Time ends in most areas of the U.S., so we’ll “fall back” and return to Standard time. We’ll set our clocks back one hour before bed on Saturday night.
The return of Standard Time means the Sun will rise a little earlier (at least according to our clocks) so if you’re an early riser, you’ll enjoy the rays as you have your breakfast. And you’ll “gain” one hour of sleep. The bad news? It will be dark by the time most of us get out of work.
Parent Reminders
Just a couple of reminders about our drop off and pick up procedures:
Drop off:
- Students can enter the building at 8:40. Supervision is not available prior to that unless they are enrolled in Latchkey. Students should not be dropped off before 8:30.
- We ask that parents allow students to go to the cafeteria and/or their classroom by themselves. If you are walking them into the building we encourage a quick goodbye in the lobby.
- Breakfast is served from 8:40 - 8:55 daily and is free for all students.
- Students are considered tardy if they are not in class by 8:55.
- Students will be marked absent for the morning if they arrive between 9:55 - 12:00.
Pick Up:
- School ends at 3:56 on full days and 12:00 on half days.
- Students who are picked up for the day between 12:00 - 2:56 will receive an afternoon absence and those who leave for the day after 2:56 will be marked tardy for the afternoon..
- Carline pick up is running smoother each day. Remind your child(ren) to look for their car while they wait.
