E-Staff Weekly for 6/1/15

Panther P.R.O.U.D.

The Finish Line

Well, believe it or not, we are in our final weeks of the 2014-15 school year. We have a lot activities planned for the next 15 days which students will enjoy and create lasting memories. I know this can be a stressful time with finishing curriculum, grades, report cards, packing your classroom, etc. Please remember as you sprint to the finish line to take a few moments to enjoy how far you have taken your students this school year. You have successfully presented curriculums, strengthen relationships, and readied them for the next challenges in their future. Thank you for your outstanding service to our students, families, and community!

Embedded Technology Coaching: June 3...LAST ONE

Below is the Sign-Up Genius link for our last technology coaching session this school year with Brandon Lutz on June 3, 2015. He will be stationed in the faculty room, but will be more than happy to come to your classroom to discuss any questions you may have.

2015-16 Teacher Placement Letters

Please be advised that Teacher Placement Letters will be placed into your mailboxes before the end of the day on Monday, June 1st. My hope is to issue them at 11:15 AM so you will have an opportunity to review during lunch/recess time. However, please keep in mind some staff members (gifted, nurses, psychologists, counselors, IST, special education teachers) come from Dr. Phillips’ office. Also, please remember that students/parents are not permitted in the mailroom at any time due to confidential information. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Message from the Nurse's Office

During these hot/humid days, please make sure your students are drinking plenty of fluids. In addition, please speak with your students about telling Mr. Hoath or Mrs. Herrmann if they feel nauseous or faint when they're on the playground.

Summer Work Packets

Many of you have inquired about sending home summer work packets. Due to conserving paper, we will not be copying "packets" of summer work for children. Instead, I'm asking grade levels to forward Tina the packet scanned that will be sent to your grade level families via Blackboard Connect. When sending, please include a brief message from the team about the packet so it can be included in the email blast. If you have any questions, please let the office know.

Reminder about TA/PCA Role in the Reg, Ed. Classroom

This is just a friendly reminder that teaching assistants and personal care assistants are provided to give instructional support to identified students. They should not not be making copies, completing clerical tasks, etc. for regular education staff.
