Concert Alert!

The doors will open at 9:10 am and 1:40 pm on concert day.

Parents, if you want to pick up your child at the conclusion of the 2:00 performance, a form is coming home this week for you to fill out. The form, which keeps the safety and security of our students in mind, indicates who would be picking up the student, along with a spot for the parent's signature. The form is due on Wednesday, December 7.

Second Quarter Kindness Challenge

What

Monroe students will participate in a Kindness Challenge during November and December. Staff members will look for students who display kindness and empathy towards others. Acts of kindness that go "above and beyond" normal behavioral expectations will be recognized with a ticket. The goal is to fill up our Kindness Tower with tickets. Once the tower is full, students will enjoy a special reward for their hard work.

Why

A team of Monroe staff members recently reviewed student behavior data. The team concluded that many behavior incidents could have been avoided, or their severity reduced, if students had been more kind and empathetic towards their peers. We hope that students will better understand how their actions affect others and that kindness creates a more positive learning environment for all!
