November - December 2013
November and December were busy months in the Media Center! Check out our stats for these months combined:
151 class visits to the Media Center computer lab
95 class visits to the Media Center to check out materials
2,705 passes issued for students to visit the Media Center during the day
134 Cougar Connections passes issued (remember, students must see Ms. Worthman before noon on Thursday to request a pass!)
22 books given away in the "Cite It to Win It" contest
6 students eligible to vote for the YHBA winner in May
3,625 books circulated
Don't forget about our Young Hoosier Book Award contest, which runs through the end of April. Students who read 5 or more of the YHBA nominees may vote for the winner during the first week of May. Additionally, the Language Arts or Humanities class with the highest average number of books read per student will win a party in the Media Center at the end of the year! Book Fair Recap
Thanks to everyone who shopped and volunteered at the Scholastic Book Fair in December! We were able to raise funds to help purchase books for the Media Center collection and paperbacks to give away to students in contests.
