October Update
BOOT-UP WYOMING INITIATIVE
Boot Up Wyoming 2022 is an initiative to implement computer science in all Wyoming schools. During the 2018 Budget Session, the Wyoming Legislature passed Senate Enrolled Act 0048, which adds computer science and computational thinking to the state educational program. To implement a Computer Science Curriculum in compliance with state standards that flows K-12.

We believe in Computer Science becauseā¦ it promotes complex problem solving, independent learning, prepares students to overcome challenges, to think and act for themselves and to meet workforce expectations as citizens.
MONTHLY SPOTLIGHT- WHAT NORTH EVANSTON ELEMENTARY IS WORKING THIS MONTH!
4th-5th Grade
4th and 5th graders are working hands on with 3D design software. They will create their own 3d design and print it on our LULZ-Bot Taz 6 3D Printer. They are getting a jumpstart on learning engineering and volume!
K-2nd Grade
K-2nd graders are learning to be Digital Citizens by being Responsible, Respectful, and Safe on the Internet and learning keyboarding and mouse skills! They are also beginning to learn to code using code.org!
3rd Grade
3rd graders are learning about their Digital Footprints, learning to be smart about what they share online, and learning the difference between private and personal information. They are also beginning to learn to code using code.org!
