Mooresville Middle School Plan B (WIN Wednesday)
We are preparing for students to return to school on WIN Wednesday starting the week of October 19th. Specifics of our plans will be emailed to you on Monday, October 5th. We will only be allowed to invite 25% of our student population each Wednesday. All students enrolled will be invited to attend at least two sessions. Starting the week of October 19th, WIN Wednesday sessions will be held from 7:30am-2:30pm. Transportation will be provided. We understand that some parents are still hesitant to send their students back to school. If you are one of those parents, we ask that you fill out the form you receive on Monday, October 5th. You will only fill out the form if you DO NOT want your student to attend WIN Wednesday sessions.
If you are planning to send your student on their assigned Wednesday and need bus transportation please fill out the form below. We will assign one bus stop per student to utilize in the morning and afternoon. Depending on the requests received, there is a strong likelihood that the bus stop will be a community stop and/or may be located up to ½ mile from your address. The state’s guidelines have limited the maximum occupancy of each school bus and masks must be worn by all riders at all times. If you complete the form, you will be emailed your bus stop information (location, bus number, and time of day) during the week of October 12. This form will close on Tuesday, October 6 at 11:30pm
If you have any questions about transportation, please contact the MGSD Transportation Office at 704-658-2634.
Testing Updates
As MMS wraps up Quarter 1, we are using the week of October 5th to assess where students are. We will be using Check-ins to find out how student learning has progressed and to evaluate any gaps in learning as we move forward throughout the year.
Individual Student Access Code:
You and your student will receive a unique access code to login to the Check-In. These codes were created specifically for your student and will only give your student access to the specific Check-In that he or she is taking. The night before the test, you will receive another email with the specific access code to launch the Check-In at 1:00 the following day.
Timing:
Your student may use as much time as he or she needs to complete these activities.
Environment:
It is recommended that your student works in a quiet, well-lit area of the home. Your student should not use any resources that may help him or her answer questions (for example, a dictionary, a multiplication table, textbooks, or cell phones).
Supplies:
Your student may need Graph Paper or a scrap of paper. You can download and print these at home, or these sheets are available for pick-up in the main office of Mooresville Middle School. You can pick them up Monday through Friday between 8am - 2:30pm.
Timetable:
Check-Ins will begin at 1:00pm each day.
Monday - ELA
Tuesday - Math
Thursday - Science
Friday - Social Studies
In order to accommodate the NC Check-Ins -- we are revising our school bell schedule for the Week of October 5th. Below is the information with the timeframe:

Friday, October 9th accessorize your pink by adding sports team paraphernalia.
Friday, October 23rd accessorize your pink by adding crazy hair.
