What a weekend!
Hope this beautiful Sunday finds you well and enjoying some outside activity. I planted a beautiful bleeding heart bush which was a gift from Ellen. It is beautiful and a twin to the one she gave me last year. I am one lucky lady to have her in my world. This newsletter is full of links and photos of all the arts activities that happened around our district just this weekend. Even in a pandemic - the arts will not be stopped! Curtailed and adjusted but not stopped. Enjoy the joy in this newsletter and I will see you in your classes this week!

Actress Phillipa Soo, professor Jamil Zaki, and Steve Rathje discuss how theater is a vital space for teaching us empathy and compassion
About this Event
How is theater a valuable space to foster connection and understanding? Join actress Phillipa Soo (Hamilton) and Jamil Zaki, an associate professor of psychology at Stanford University and the author of The War for Kindness for a live conversation about how theater is a vital space for teaching us empathy and compassion.
With Steve Rathje, a researcher, who worked on the scientific study on how watching plays can build empathy.
This event is in honor of Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month and to remember the people, including the six Asian women, who lost their lives in the Atlanta shooting on March 16.
Free with a suggested donation to Asian Americans Advancing Justice.
