Orientation Week Information
August 24-27
Orientation Days
Hello Parents! We are working hard to get the school ready and we are excited to have the students and families back in the building. As we are all aware, there will be some changes to the building from last year and everyone will be wearing masks, so we wanted to gradually ease back into our new normal. Hopefully, everyone was able to get signed up through the Sign Up Genius that Mrs. Beisser sent out. The link is below. I wanted to go through what this day entails. Please only ONE parent and Holy Cross students in the building. It is important that we limit the amount of people and children in the building at one time. Thank you for planning accordingly.

# 1
Please enter the building from the Tree Lot through the white picket fence doors. A staff member will be there to take your temperature. Please read and follow the guidance provided on the signage on the exterior doors.
# 2
You may proceed to your child(ren) classroom(s). The student(s) teacher will be in their room waiting to go through any specific procedures that will be helpful to the start of school. If your child(ren) will be remote, this will be the time to pick up supplies from their classroom that they will need to get started such as textbooks, workbooks, and/or learning packets. If your child(ren) will be on-site, this would be the time to drop off school supplies with everything clearly labeled. If you ordered supplies, this is when you will pick up your supplies, take them home to label them and bring them back on the first day of school.
#3
We are asking whether you are on-site or remote, please bring a plastic milk crate or a sturdy plastic tub of a similar size to a milk crate. If the student is on-site, they will use it for storage of all their personal belongings including supplies, by their desk. If they are remote, they will use it to carry their items home and will have one ready to bring back upon their return to school.
#4
While your child(ren) is working with their teachers, please bring your Sign Up Day form with you from the summer packets filled out and ready for payment. There will be boxes in the hallway clearly labeled for the remaining paperwork that needs to be turned in. Used Uniform sales will be in the Art Room, but please be mindful of social distancing and no more than two customers at a time. As we want to be safe, please no gatherings in the hallways. We are asking everyone to not stay any longer than needed and as we all know we have missed seeing each other, it is important to continue conversations outside when possible.
#5
Pick up your child(ren) from their classrooms. If it hasn’t been the full 45 minutes that is fine. Just check with the teacher that the student has everything needed to start the school year off. We will see everyone either through Google Meet or on-site on Monday, August 31st. Looking forward to a great year!
Días de orientación
¡Hola padres!
