Aycock PTSA students complete grant presentation

Student members of the Aycock PTSA (Makayla Key, Jordan Minor and Khyra Suddreth-Fee) presented to the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro in hopes of starting a Food Pantry for needy students.

6th grader, Makayla Key, wrote the $2,000 grant proposal on behalf of the student members after they decided as a group what community service project they'd like to implement at Aycock.

The students will find out in March if they will receive the grant and plan to work with the school Social Worker and adult PTSA members to get the food distributed.
