This past Tuesday, December 12th was a monumentous day for the students and staff in the Madison Public Schools. Thank you for your continued commitment to our school and district. December Monthly Activity Calendar
Click the link below to access and print the calendar for the month of DECEMBER. As a family try to do as many of the boxes as you can during the entire month of December! You will see that many of the activities focus on winter and holidays. A huge THANK YOU to Second Grade Teachers, Mrs. Galinsky and Mrs. Delli Paoli, for creating this month's activity calendar!
Accessing Trimester 1 Report Cards
Today at 3:00 PM, student report cards for parents/guardians will be accessible in the Genesis Parent Portal. For directions on how to access your child’s report card, please click here. Have a wonderful weekend!
Sing-Alongs...You are Invited!
Please join us on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 in the Jaguar Jungle for our annual TJS Sing-Alongs. If your child is in kindergarten, first, or second grade, the Sing-Along time will be from 9:15-9:45 AM. For anyone with a third, fourth, or fifth grader, the Sing-Along time will be from 10:00-10:30 AM. For anyone with children in both Sing-Alongs, please feel free to stay for both sessions. The Sing-Alongs are not performances. They are designed to be special times when we may all come together to sing holiday songs! We hope to see you there!
**Parents/guardians are encouraged to please check the LOST and FOUND rack when you are in the building for the sing-alongs. The items often accumulate during the winter months.
Upcoming Schoolwide Service Learning Project
As we look ahead to 2024, all students and staff will participate in a day of service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Junior’s legacy. In order to prepare for this day, we are asking students at all grade levels to donate a variety of travel-size hygiene items. All students will have the opportunity to package these items and the kits will be donated to BRIDGES, a non-profit organization based in Summit, NJ. To learn more about hygiene kits and BRIDGES, check out, https://bridgesoutreach.org/hygiene-kits-cold-weather-packs/.
We thank you for the donations we have already received. We are collecting donations all of next week from Monday, December 18th until Friday, December 22nd. Please check the list below and send the following item(s) into school with your child. All donations are completely voluntary. If you are not able to donate, your child will still be able to participate in creating a hygiene kit. Thank you for supporting this schoolwide service-learning project!
Renaissance Star Assessments
Our next window of STAR administration will be occurring during the month of January. The STAR assessments are diagnostic assessments designed to provide educators and parents with important information about the students’ progress. After the January administration window closes, parents/guardians will receive copies of their child’s STAR assessment reports.
