Our new electronic flyer communication system, Peachjar, will be launched throughout the district on January 31, 2019.
Peachjar is a digital flyer management system that allows schools and the system to email visually engaging flyers to all parents(emails obtained from INOW) and post them on a centralized webpage. Stakeholders can access your school flyers through the Peachjar button that is located at the top of each schools' home page.
For expediency, the principal and the website manager at each school will be designated as the “Peachjar School Admin.” Modifications to this role can be made once we get started. Peachjar School Admin accounts will be created by Aleta Stender and they will be notified via Peachjar email when your account is created.
The Peachjar School Admins(PJ admin) at your school will have flyer-uploading privileges and may assign flyer-uploading (PJ uploader) privileges to others as well (e.g. another school office staff member and/or teacher/sponsor/coach/parent group officer).
Peachjar is free for our schools to post school-run programs and events. Outside community partners pay a small service fee to post and distribute digital flyers (typically much less than the cost to copy and deliver paper flyers).
All community organizations that want to distribute flyers at your school must be directed to use Peachjar. They may contact Peachjar for more information.
The school staff member(s) who will upload flyers or assign flyer-uploading privileges should take these actions:

- Begin using Peachjar to post flyers on our district-wide start date(January 31, 2019).
- Ensure all community partners that want to post flyers are directed to Peachjar (the district website has instructions for them).

This “green” initiative will save our school paper and reduce copy costs by thousands of dollars. On top of that, posting school flyers via this electronic method removes a significant administrative burden from teachers, office staff, and volunteers.
No action is required on your part. You will receive a welcome email from our service provider (Peachjar) that includes a username and password. This is provided to give you the opportunity to manage your account and flyer delivery preferences. You do not need to login to receive or view school digital flyers.
To ensure smooth delivery of this communication, we suggest you add school@peachjar.com to your email contacts. When you receive your first digital flyer, be sure to click “always display images.”
This system is used exclusively for distribution of school-approved flyers. Your email address will not be shared or used for any other purpose. Thank you for supporting our efforts to ensure parents are well informed about school programs, activities, and events.
How Will MCSS Use Peachjar? *UPDATED*
- We will use Peachjar to distribute internal flyers systemwide/schoolwide to parent email and post on websites. We can only distribute schoolwide, so Peachjar won't work for distributing teacher flyers to just one class. Peachjar is for widespread distribution.
- We will use Peachjar to distribute flyers from community groups that have a created a Peachjar account and submit flyers through their account.
- Employees will have a secured Peachjar page(must log in) for flyers and information internal to MCSS. This will start in March.

Peachjar Flyer Upload Requirements
Please ensure your flyer meets the following guidelines before uploading it to Peachjar:
- Must be in PDF format.
- If your file is not in PDF format, here is how you can convert it:
- In Microsoft Word, go to 'File' and click 'Save as Adobe PDF'.
- In Adobe Photoshop, go to 'File', select 'Save As', select 'Photoshop PDF' from the dropdown menu and click 'Save'.
- In Adobe Indesign, go to 'File', select 'Export', choose 'Adobe PDF' from the dropdown menu and click 'Save'.
- You can also convert your file for free using Smallpdf.com.
- If your file is not in PDF format, here is how you can convert it:
- Cannot exceed 6 MB in file size.
- If your file is larger than 6 MB, you can compress it for free using Smallpdf.com. Be careful not to compress it too much as this may dramatically reduce the quality of your flyer.
- Must be 1-4 pages in length. Learn how to distribute flyers longer than 4 pages.
- For best results, create your flyer on an 8.5" x 11" document in portrait orientation.
- Embedded links within a flyer are not supported. Learn how to include links with your flyer.
- For ADA purposes, your flyer's text will be copied into a description box. Scanned flyers and fonts in size 12pt or smaller may not be detected by this software and may require you to manually add the text to the description box.
