NO EASY DAY- MARK OWEN
THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF A NAVY SEAL
No Easy Day by Mark Owen is a retelling of his journey throughout his Navy SEAL career. It starts with him in the selection for DEVGRU (United States Naval Special Warfare Development Group), then working his way through the ranks to make it to Green Team. He would eventually be on the mission in the Indian Ocean to save Captain Phillips from Samali Pirates. On the most important mission in history, the mission to kill UBL (Osama Bin Laden), as the CIA calls him, he would be there when the shot was fired. And when the confirmation is made "Geronimo is E.K.I.A.", the biggest threath against the U.S. has been vanquished. Read this book to find out what happens to Captain Phillips, UBL, and in Miami (LMBO!!!)
Was this book well written?
Yes, this was probably the best book that I have ever read, no disrespect to the other authors of books. I enjoyed every page of it. The suspense between chapters always kept me reading, and it was very informative. I learned a lot about how the Navy SEALS trained, which was all new information to me.
Would I reccommend this book?
Absolutely. I think you should all read this book, and I can almost guarentee you will not be able to put it down. If you enjoy books about war and things of that nature, then this book is definetly for you. It even has humor and drama in case war isn't the only thing you want to read about.
Is this book part of a series?
No, this is the only book, but the movie "Zero Dark Thirty" is very closely related. I don't think that there could be a sequel to this.
Humor, action, drama, suspense, anger, happy, irony. The humor and irony both have to do with the pranks that they pull on each other, one resulting in Mark not being able to eat animal crackers to this day. The action, drama, suspense, and anger are all related to each other through the combat in the book, like the Captain Phillips mission and various others.
