Studio News: September 2023

It's Mostly Fall, Ya'll! Wahoo!!! Let's do our best not to scare it away!

The School Term is in full swing and our team is rocking and rolling as we prep for full on "Holiday Mode." Over the next couple of weeks, we'll start transitioning students over to fall and holiday geared music in anticipation of the Winter Recital.

TA&A will be OPEN and hosting all regular lessons during the upcoming October Fall Break.

If you will NOT be here for lessons during this time, use the Studio Portal to Submit Absences ahead of your lesson day to avoid Same Day Cancellations Fees.

***Reminder: TA&A DOES NOT close for mini breaks, Student Holidays and Teacher Work days. We close only for MAJOR Breaks (Spring Break, Thanksgiving Break & Winter Break). Please see our Studio Calendar for all closures.

We will be having a special event with the Town of Prosper, Prosper Chamber of Commerce & Celina Chamber of Commerce on September 20th at 11 am to celebrate our 7th Anniversary. This event will also serve as our "official" Grand Opening of the East Wing.

We'll have an Instrument Petting Zoo set up for students to explore a variety of instruments, Music from our TA&A Teaching Team, & yummy Snacks!

It's not to late to join Mr. Chazz's Guitar Ensemble! Guitar Ensemble meets on Wednesdays this fall for a 10-week course designed to take your guitar training to the next level. All participants should have at least 6 months of guitar training under their belt and a basic understanding of either sightreading or chord/tab reading.

Students can enroll in "Guitar Ensemble" through the Studio Portal.

Class will meet weekly beginning September 6th from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm in Studio 8. Ensemble Fees are $100 per month and will include a End of Course Performance.

Students looking for additional performance training and experience can register for our New Student Band, lead by Mr. Lucas!

All instruments & levels are welcome! Our New Student Band will rehearse weekly on Thursdays from 7:45 pm - 8:45 pm.

We're excited to share that we've expanding private lesson offerings and group classes for Fall's Homeschool Music Academy session!

Winter Recital planning is well underway with our team and we can't wait to get this information out to you!

Here's some high level details to know ahead of our Recital Reveal:

• Recital is NOT Mandatory, but we highly encourage it!
• Recital Dates: Friday, December 15th (5:30 pm - 8:30 pm) & Saturday, December 16th ( 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM)
• Recital Location: First Prosper Church (just around the corner from TA&A)
• Registration Opens November 1st and will close on November 30th
• No Registrations will be allowed after November 30th.
• Prior to Registering for Recital - TALK TO YOUR TEACHER TO MAKE SURE YOUR STUDENT IS READY!
• YES!! We will have a Recital Registration Challenge....and yes, it will be silly (psst...that's a clue...)
  

Thank you to everyone who has shared feedback with us on the Studio Portal! We are grateful for your transparency and feedback (good and not so great, alike!) on the new Studio Portal.

We've heard you! And we're working on some enhancements to the Studio Portal that we will be rolling out in October. During the last week of September, please be aware that there may be some outages to the Studio Portal while we connect these enhancements to five you a better experience in the future!

October Statements will be posted to the Studio Portal on September 29th.

Auto-Pay will run on October 1st.

As a reminder, WE WILL HAVE CLASSES DURING THE FALL MINI BREAK!

We do have several teachers out for a couple of dates in October for Religious Observances and other conflicts, please make sure that you check your October Statement for impacted dates. Teacher Conflicts are NOT BILLABLE to you. If we know in advance of these dates, you will not see them on your statement. Teacher Cancellations communicated after October 1st will be credited on your next billing statement.

Please note our updated attendance & make up policies went into effect on June 1st. We encourage all families to review them to ensure a harmonious season of consistent learning this year!
