Monday, August 24: Back-to-School Night
There will be major adjustments to Back-to-School Night on Monday, August 24. Building principals will be sending specific changes to families in the next couple days.
New Teachers at Lynnville-Sully
Amy Baumfalk - High School Business Teacher
Jade DeHoedt - Second Grade Teacher
Malory Hamre - Fifth Grade Teacher
Jenny Petersen - High School Agriculture Education Teacher
Josh Piering - 5-12 Band Teacher
Morning Arrival to School
Students should arrive at school after 8:00 am each day. Dropping students off before 8:00 am will create social distancing problems and future contact tracing challenges.
First Day of School for Students
The first day of school for students will be Wednesday, August 26. The school district will follow our regular school calendar and daily hours. 2020-2021 School District Calendar:

Transportation Registration
Online registration for daily bus routes ended on Monday, August 17. Finalized bus routes will be emailed as well as posted on the front page of the school district website in the near future. Late registration may cause a delay assigning a student to a bus route. Late bus registration link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd7h65Jw4LONssS6GyGTxGFyX1dYcbn2BmrcwdpfWYcafZ7lQ/viewform
Food Service Changes
There are several food service safety changes listed on the L-S Return to Learn Food Service tab: https://sites.google.com/lshawks.com/lsreturntolearn/onsite-learning/food-service?authuser=0
HIGHLIGHTS:
- For safety purposes, students will not enter the kitchen area to receive their food. As a result, students will be provided a single lunch with one meal (no food options, unless prior arrangements for food allergies). 6-12 students may purchase a la carte items.
- Meal Delivery Changes: Students will pick up silverware and their choice of milk at their normal location. Students will walk around the kitchen area in the gym lobby to the kitchen door entering the gym. Cooks will hand each student a tray of food outside the kitchen.
- Regular lunch tables and extra long tables/chairs will be spread throughout the entire elementary/middle school gym. Students will only sit on one side of the table; all facing the same direction.
