Letter From the Principal
Hello Jefferson Jr./Sr. Families,
Our Vaccination Clinic was a huge success! Due to the amazing turnout, JCPH will return to Jefferson Jr./Sr. on Wednesday, October 13th from 1 pm to 5 pm to provide second doses to anyone who attended the clinic on September 15th. JCPH will bring $50 gift cards to the October event as well.
Construction Update
Installation of our track turf is on its way to completion. You may have also noticed that our exterior signage is completed as well. It's amazing seeing the finishing touches come together.
Social Media
We would like you to be aware of a concerning trend that is taking place in some of our schools, as well as many schools across the country. It’s a “challenge” on TikTok (a social media platform) that encourages students to steal or destroy school property then post a picture or video of this item as a “trophy.”
The destruction of equipment in our schools such as toilet paper and soap dispensers, sinks, mirrors, and floors in the bathrooms negatively impacts our health and safety protocols and is against district policy and the law. In addition, some schools are experiencing theft of items from classrooms and offices. We take great pride in our schools and these actions are unacceptable and disrupt our learning environment.
We strongly encourage parents and guardians to have conversations with their students about the seriousness of vandalism and theft of school property. Students who are involved in this type of behavior will be held accountable and face consequences like suspension, restitution, law enforcement referral, and/or expulsion.
We would like to also remind families and students to review the Student Code of Conduct, which all families agree to during registration in Jeffco Connect.
Thank you for your continued partnership in keeping our schools safe for students and staff. We are #BetterTogether #SomosSaints
