We encourage parents and community members to share their time and knowledge with our students by becoming authorized volunteers. Complete a volunteer application today and return to any school building.

Update on the Tennis / Basketball Courts

Our students and community members have begun using the new tennis courts and basketball court. There are still a few finishing touches to complete the project, and we look forward to our dedication ceremony and celebration during Homecoming Week!

High Five Fridays

We are launching a new initiative between our high school activity groups and our middle school students and we are calling it "High Five Fridays."

On each of the 35 Fridays we are in school this year, one of our high school activity groups will be lined at both entrances to our middle school to greet our students with a 'good morning' and give each student that enters the building a High Five.

Our high school groups will be lined up and ready to go at KMS by 745 AM on these Fridays as students begin to enter the building shortly after.

I think this will be an awesome way to continue to build culture, climate, and community here as we make connections from our high school and middle school kids. This will be a great way for our high school kids to give back as many of our middle school kids idolize these high school kids and getting a High Five from them will be an amazing way to start to their day and surely put a smile on their face.

Go Panthers!!

    Elementary PTO

Have you been wondering about how to get more involved in your child's education and meet other parents?! Come to our Knoxville Elementary PTO Meetings this year and join a committee! We need teachers and parents to help us move our mission forward to promote positive relationships between parents and teachers of Knoxville's children! We also fund extra activities not funded by the schools such as field trips!

The Knoxville Elementary Parent Teacher Organization will be meeting on the first Thursday of each month at 5:30pm for the 2018-19 school year. To keep things consistent, we will be keeping our meetings at West Elementary. As requested, we are working on securing older students to watch children while their parents attend the meetings. (Though children are always welcome to attend with their parents/guardians!)

Our first meeting will be held at West Elementary at 5:30pm on Thursday, September 6th.

We're serving PIZZA and will be forming committees such as: Teacher Appreciation, Box Tops, Family Fun Nights, JOG-A-THON, Homecoming, Yearbook, and MORE...
