Meet Mr. Wilkins

We are excited to be joining the community of Gordon, Texas! I want to thank each of you for the warm reception I have received while working toward joining the Gordon ISD team and community. My family and I have been enjoying each moment that we have spent in Gordon. Here is just a little information about my family. My wife Katie is an educator and my children Johnna (5th grade) and Brayson (3rd grade) are very excited to start school in Gordon. Johnna loves school and wants to be a vet when she grows up. Brayson loves any sport that is in season and swears he is going to be a pro athlete. Katie has been in education for over 10 years. She has taught numerous grade levels and subjects, severed as a curriculum technology coach, and an assistant principal. I enjoy hunting, fishing, and any sport that is in season. We are a small town family with deep seated values in family, community, school, and church. I look forward to working with each of you in providing the best possible education to the students we serve in this great community. I know all of you work hard every day to do what is best for our students and community. My mission is to maintain and grow a rigorous teaching and learning environment that provides every student with a sense of belonging while helping students grow intellectually, emotionally, and socially. It is critical to every student’s success that they graduate from high school with the skills necessary to pursue and achieve their goals and dreams. We will only be able to achieve these goals if we work together as a team. I invite you to stop and say hi anytime you see me in the hallways. I am very eager to get started and look forward to seeing everyone everyday starting in January!
