We have an App for that!
Otsego Local Schools in partnership with SchoolInfoApp has launched the Otsego Local Schools App, now available for iPhones®, iPads®, Android™, Blackberry™ and Windows™ devices.
The Otsego Local Schools App enables parents, students, alumni, faculty and staff to quickly access all of the who, what, when and where for Otsego Local Schools. Click on the links below or search OTSEGO LOCAL SCHOOLS within your device’s online store. There are basically 4 apps in 1. In the menu bar there is a button called My Schools. Click there to add all of the schools.
The App is free and gives parents & students quick access to:
- The latest news, information and announcements
- Events and activities
- Teacher, Staff and Administration Contact Information
- Important documents, picture galleries & other media
- School menus, the online gradebook system and more!

- Make sure you send in a written note within 48 hours of your child's absence. This is necessary in order for the absence to be excused.
- Please make sure you include both the first name and last name of student on the absent note.

High School Dance Information
Neon Dance Party:
Who: All Otsego High School Students -- NO GUESTS
What: Casual dance. $3 at the door (NO PRE-SALE), wear your neon from the game!
Where: OHS Commons
When: Friday, September 25th, 9:30 PM - 11:30 PM
The doors will open at 9:30, but feel free to stop by immediately after the home football game.
Why: To have fun and Celebrate being a Knight!
Knights, Camera, Action! - HOMECOMING DANCE:
Who: All Otsego High School Students, AND guests!
Please pick up Guest forms in the main office, you will be turning them in when you purchase your ticket. Guest Dance Form
What: Formal Homecoming, Dress to Impress!, $5 pre-sale tickets (the week before the dance), $7 at the door.
Where: OHS Commons
When: Saturday, October 10th, 8 PM - 11 PM
You may not leave the dance before 11 PM unless you provide a parent signed note stating that you are allowed to leave.
Why: To celebrate Homecoming in style!
***During the Homecoming dance this year we would like to get as many parents as possible to line the entrance outside the commons and take pictures of the kids as they enter the dance. We will have a Red Carpet and we want to make it like the Paparazzi outside a movie premier. Parents feel free to come and watch the kids enter the dance and take pictures. However, only students and chaperones will be allowed in the dance. Thanks and we hope to see you there.

News from Transportation
The Transportation Department will conduct emergency evacuation drills on the morning of Wednesday September 30th. Students will arrive to school at their normal times and go through a series of evacuation scenarios.

Horizon Youth Theater Presents: Seussification of Romeo & Juliet (Click the Link)
Zapiecki Family Benefit Saturday September 26th at Hosanna Lutheran Church (23019 Kellogg Rd Grand Rapids). It starts at 1:00pm and goes until the food runs out. $8 donation for dinner. (Chicken, Potato salad, baked beans, and roll. Plus water, iced tea or lemonade included). Desserts for sale and a bake sale as well.
Amy Wilcox Benefit Amy Wilcox is an Otsego Knight parent. Amy was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, Adenocarcinoma, in April 2015. Since this cancer is so rare, Cleveland Clinic referred her to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. The link has information to a fundraiser and times they are in need of volunteers. They are also in need of food. (pop, chips, hot dogs, baked goods) If you can help please email amyscourage@gmail.com or contact Don or Holly Johnson
Veteran's Day Breakfast and Assembly - We will once again have a Veteran’s Day Assembly and breakfast to honor our local Veterans. There will be a flyer put up around the community, but if you could start spreading the word, we would appreciate it. Breakfast is free to all veterans and Otsego Senior Citizens. Breakfast will start at 8:15 in the High School Commons. The program will start at 9:15 in the High School gym. Please CLICK HERE to RSVP for the breakfast. Indoor Walking Program - The Elementary Building will be open in the evenings from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm for community members that would like to walk the halls. The building will only be open when school is in session. There will not be indoor walking hours when school is canceled or it is a holiday. There will also be a course map that will tell you the distance traveled, along with a sign-in sheet as you enter the elementary building.
