After School Tutoring Program- Middle School

First nine weeks and second nine weeks report cards as well as third nine weeks progress reports (Wed. February 7th) have been sent home. Hopefully, you have talked to your child about their grades. If you feel your 7th or 8th grade student may be in need of additional help then please contact the front office for an application. A bus will be available to drop off students to their home sites and a hot meal will given to them during their time in the program.

  • 7th and 8th grade students
  • ELA/ Math tutoring along with STEM enrichment
  • Monday- Thursday
  • 2:40-4:40pm

Even if your child participates in other after school activities such as band, dance, step, football, basketball, etc., we want to ensure that academic needs are met and that your child is successful in the classroom.

Access Health Clinic

Access Health Clinic is finding there is a demand for behavioral health services among the 7th & 8th graders. We are publicizing these sessions within the school as “Teen Talk”. It’s group counseling sessions that we would like to form to help children dealing with similar issues (depression, stress, anxiety, relationships, bullying, etc.). We are asking that students “sign up” in the health center if they are interested. The sign-up sheet will be kept with our clinical staff. Also, children will be contacted in school by Melissa Laneaux, our social worker, to see what issues they are dealing with.

Don't forget that if you need to get your child’s immunization records updated, and we have flu shots if needed.

Attention Parents of Seniors and Graduating Juniors: Financial Aid Workshops

Truancy and Attendance

Even with the weather turning cold, it is important for your child to come to school on a daily basis. If your child is absent, please make sure to secure a doctor's note when necessary and turn it in to the front office.

Please be aware that when a student is late to school 5 times, and/or when a student has 5 unexcused absences, their paperwork is turned over to the Supervisor of Child Welfare and Attendance, Mrs. Brandi Blanchard. This process continues for multiples of 5 unexcused absences and/or late to school occurrences, (i.e., 10, 15, 20, etc.).
