Classroom iPad Cubes FAQ & Help

Classroom Cubes will allow all students access to an iPad if they do not have one, or the ability to charge theirs if needed to continue using technology in the classroom
What is a Classroom Cube?
Your CTS has the lock code to open the Classroom Cube.
When will I get the Shared Mode iPads and Portable Charging Banks for the Classroom Cube?
What procedures do I need to have for these devices?
- YOU are responsible for the Shared Mode iPads and Portable Charging Banks once they are installed in the Classroom Cube in your classroom.
- At the end of each period/day, make sure you have the 5 Shared Mode iPads and 5 Portable Charging Banks assigned to your Classroom Cube.
- If you are missing any devices, contact your Campus Technology Specialist (CTS) immediately so that they can be located as soon as possible.
Why aren't all apps available on the Shared Mode iPads?
A priority is testing, so the apps currently available are:
- Self Service
- ClassLink
- LockDown Browser
- Secure Test Browser
Additional apps may be added to Self Service in the future, but due to space limitations with Shared Mode, you may not see all of the same apps available on a student assigned iPad.
Students need to use ClassLink to access Google Classroom and other district programs.
Will I be able to see the Shared Mode iPads in Apple Classroom?
You will need to monitor these devices the old fashion way...with proximity.
The Technology Department is working with Apple to allow for Shared Mode iPads to be visible in Apple Classroom.
Press the Home button on the iPad to sign in.
NOTE!
Since students are not signing in to their account, NO data will be saved after the student signs out. Make sure students save anything they need to Google Drive BEFORE signing out.
Students MUST do one of the following when they are done using the iPad (tap images to enlarge).
1. Press the POWER button on the iPad.
2. Tap Sign Out in the button right corner.
3. Tap Sign Out on the pop-up.
OR
1. Swipe down from the top of the screen.
2. Tap Sign Out in the button right corner.
3. Tap Sign Out on the pop-up.
