Monroe Elementary News
September 9, 2022
From the Principal
Monroe Elementary had a great start of the day. Today we had “Breakfast and Blankets” Grandparents/ Special Friends Day before school. Our students were accompanied by their grandparents/special friends to enjoy donuts, juice, and milk. There were lawn games and the playground for Monroe students to enjoy time playing with their special guest. It was a fun and well attended event. I have posted pictures below from the event.
Map testing reports are coming home soon. There will be a Map information meeting on September 20th at 6:30. At this meeting, Map testing information and how to understand your child's score report will be explained. Please bring your child's report so that you can use it as a reference during the discussion. **There will be a Spanish translator at the meeting.
Have a great weekend!

Teacher Spotlight- Mrs. Trimble
What is your name and your position at Monroe Elementary?
Jessica Trimble- Preschool Aide
What's one thing you couldn't live without?
My four kids are my world.
Where is the best place you've traveled to?
Hershey, PA
Who is your biggest inspiration? Why?
I have a few people who inspire me. They are women who have struggled in life, no matter the circumstances. These women pushed through and showed me and continue to show me, no matter how hard life can be we can always achieve our goals. Just because you are in a low point in your life doesn’t mean that’s where you will stay. Always keep pushing forward and work hard towards what you want in life.
What is the best book you've ever read?
I love the goosebump series of books
What is your favorite thing about working at Monroe Elementary School?
The staff at Monroe is very welcoming and helpful, some of the staff have even taught my kids when they started preschool at Monroe. Everyone is very friendly and helping me as I settle in.
Tell us something that might surprise us about you.
I have recently got into weight lifting in the last year and enjoy lifting weights in my spare time, I also buy liquidation pallets I have done for 5 years.
