Newton's 3rd Law
Law of Actions and Reactions
What is Newton's 3rd Law?
Newton's 3rd Law of Motion (Newton's Law of Actions and Reactions) states that forces occur in equal but opposite pairs.
How does this apply to me?
When you bounce a basketball, it will bounce right back up. This is because you appplied a force that is going down, but forces occur in equal but opposite pairs so a force is applied back up. The more force you apply downwards, the higher the basketball will bounce up because the forces need to be equal.
