Kyoto is located on the island of Japan. Japan is part of the continent Asia. There are many major cities in Japan such as Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka, Nagoya, Sapparo, and Kobe.
There are many ways to travel in Japan. The major forms are subways, buses, airports, and high speed rails. The major industries in Kyoto include Nintendo, Intelligent systems, and many more.

Japan is full of different cultures. They have many different ways of dressing, many ethnicities, and speak many different languages. Kimonos are very common in japan. A Kimono is a traditional garment worn in Japan. They also wear clothes with animations on them, such as Hello Kitty, Snoopy and Astro Boy. Japan also has a wide variety of food. Sushi and tea are common among Japan. The religions in Japan include Buddhism and Shinto religion. The dialects spoken in Japan are Japanese, Ainu, and Kansai dialect. Japan is 99% Japanese, and 1% Korean, Chinese, Brazilian, and Filipino.
Tourist Attractions
There are many tourist attractions in Kyoto. Toei Uzumasa Eigamura is a theme park and film set in one. Many action films featuring Samurai were filmed here. The Kyoto International Manga Museum is a major attraction. For one entrance fee, tourists can read as much manga as they please. They are trying to acquire every manga title ever published, and so far they have 200,000 titles. The Iwatayama Monkey Park (Monkey Mountain) is just as popular, As there are no fences, the Japanese Macaque Monkeys are allowed to roam freely. These monkeys are fond of apples and peanuts. The Kyoto Botanical garden is popular too. There are over 120,000 plants. This garden is divided in to major sections such as Bonsai exhibit, Japanese Iris Garden, and Cherry trees. The Kyoto National Museum is one of the major art museums in Japan. This Museum is undergoing renovation and its projected opening is scheduled for 2014.
