Kona Ice will be on campus, Monday, Jan. 29 2024. Prices range from $3.00 - $6.00. Please send money with your child in the morning. We will not call home for money. Thank you.

PBES will celebrate the 100th day of school on January 31. Students in PreK and Kindergarten may dress up like 100 year old grandmas and grandpas. Students in grades 1st-4th may wear blue jeans (no holes, rips, or tears in which you can see the skin underneath) and a 100th day T shirt or uniform shirt.

School will dismiss at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, Jan. 31 for staff professional development. Bus riders will be called at 11:55 and car riders will follow. Please have your child picked up by 12:30 in order for staff to attend their scheduled professional development. Thank you.

Class Pictures will be taken by Susan Angelle Photography on Thursday, February 1. Students must dress in school uniform. Pictures will be pre-pay and order forms will be sent home on Tuesday.

Candy Grams will be sold February 6-8. Order forms will go home on Monday, Feb. 5. They will cost $1.00 each and will be distributed on Friday, Feb. 9. All proceeds will support PBE 4H Club.

All SLP schools and offices will be closed Monday, Feb. 12 - Wednesday, Feb. 14. Classes will resume on Thursday, Feb. 15.

We are at a crtiical time for our teachers and students as they move into full prep phase and high stakes testing season. While we don't change what we do a whole lot, it is a crucial time for us to build up the confidence in our students that they are prepared and will do there best. Giving them opportunities to see the format and structures always helps to ease a little anxiety for our test takers. Here are several links that you may find beneficial.

Attending school regularly helps children feel better about school--and themselves. Start building this habit in PreK so they learn right away that going to school on time, every day is important.

School starts at 7:45 a.m. and ends at 3:05 p.m. Our goal is 95% on time attendance each day. Help us achieve this goal!

Attendance is so important. Please help us achieve our goal! Ensure that your child gets to school on time and try to refrain from checking them out early except for doctors appointments or sickness.

Students are expected to be in attendance every school day. The only acceptable reasons for being absent are listed as:

1. Illness as verified by a physician

2. Hospital stay

3. Recuperation from an accident

4. Contagious disease as verified by a physician

5. Visitation with a parent who is a member of the US Armed Forces

6. Death in the immediate family

7. Natural Catastrophe

PreK through 8th grade students will not be allowed to exceed ten (10) absences each school year.

All PBES students are issued ID badges. Please ensure that your child has his/her ID each day. If the child does not have their badge, he/she will receive a temporary badge and will be charged $1.00 per temporary badge issued. If the badge is lost, it is a $5.00 charge for a replacement.

Student Registration fees for the 23-24 school year are $20.00. The fee is PAST DUE. For your convenience, you may pay through the online portal at the website below. You will need to create an account and add your student to the account. If it asks for a Student ID, please put 000. If you need any assistance, please contact the school at 585-6172.

Student Technology Fees are $10.00 per student. This fee covers the use of the chromebooks in the classroom and if any damage occurs to the chromebook while your child is using it. Every Friday, students are allowed to wear blue jeans with their spirit shirt or uniform shirt for $1.00. If you would like to pay for the year, the cost is discounted to $25.00 and may be paid online using the parent portal: https://osp.osmsinc.com/SLPSB/

Please remember that jeans may not have rips, tears, or holes in them in which you can see the skin underneath. Jean shorts are not allowed.
