THE JSL MONTHLY
JURISolutions' February Employee Newsletter
A WORD FROM OUR CEO
I am reminded this month of how quickly the years can pass and how important it is to live in the moment and appreciate all that is right in front of us. Author Gretchen Rubin captured the essence of this in her short inspirational video, “The Days are Long but the Years are Short.” In it, she shares her epiphany that every moment of every day constitutes her daughter’s childhood. In other words, it is not just the big events like the fancy birthday parties that mark moments in her daughter's life, but the everyday routine, and often overlooked, moments like taking the bus with her daughter to school that are important as well.
As I pause and look around me today, I see my toddler has somehow become old enough to apply to high school and some of JURISolutions' very first employees are celebrating their 15 year anniversaries with the company. While it may feel like the blink of an eye, when I look passed the nostalgia, I see the amazing detail of the days that got us to this point. I see lots of hard work, dedication, and learning. I see goals that were made and accomplished. I see business relationships that have blossomed into friendships. I see struggles that have made us all stronger as we embraced the lessons that were to be learned. It is hard to remember all of these amazing details and not be inspired.
So, thank you to our wonderfully tenured team of recruiters and account managers. Thank you to our amazing and talented contingent legal staff, some of whom have been on the same assignments for more than a decade. I am reminded to look at the details every day and appreciate all that everyone gives to make this company the best it can be. I look to all of you and I am inspired!

Meet Our Team
Each month, we will feature one of our fantastic JURISolutions team members so that you can get to know us a little better! This month, we would like to introduce you to Brian Perero, Program/Contracts Manager, Government Services at JURISolutions.
Brian Perero
Q. As a key member of the government services team, can you give a brief overview of JURISolutions’ history working with the federal government?
A. I helped start the government division about 6 years ago. Getting business with the government was not an easy road to navigate. We started off slowly by doing some state and local government work. Eventually, we leveraged our experience with state, local, and commercial clients to get our first GSA Schedule, which opened many doors for us. Shortly thereafter, we got our second GSA Schedule and, subsequently, secured contracts with the USDA, GSA, and DOJ. More recently, we landed our largest government contracts with the CFPB and the FRB through marketing efforts and our past performance.
Q. How long have you worked for JURISolutions, and what do you enjoy most about your role?
A. I have been working for JURISolutions since January 2010. In addition to how much I enjoy working with my colleagues here, my favorite aspects of my role at JURISolutions are maintaining relationships with our current government clients and bringing in new government business with the help of my fantastic government team members.
Q. What are your predictions for JURISolutions’ growth within the government space for 2016?
A. My 2016 predictions for the government service line are centered around growth. Our goal is to secure at least one more large, long-term contract as a prime or a subcontractor, and we hope to increase our 2015 revenue by 50 - 100%.
Welcome to the JURISolutions Family!
A big JURISolutions welcome to our newest team member, Brittany Rubio, who joined our family in January.

Cancer Prevention Month
February is Cancer Prevention Month. The American Institute for Cancer Research estimates that approximately one-third of (or 374,000) cases of the most common cancers in the U.S. could be prevented by eating healthy, being active, and staying lean. Learn how you can take better care of yourself in 2016 by clicking on the below links:
American Heart Month
February is also American Heart Month. Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women. There are many ways in which you can help prevent heart disease from affecting your health, but one of the most important aspects of heart health is to know your family medical history and your blood pressure. With that information, you can begin to determine how you can make lifestyle changes that will keep your heart healthy and prevent disease.
Go Red on February 5th
Our mothers, daughters, sisters and friends are at risk. Heart disease and stroke cause 1 in 3 deaths among women each year, which is more than all cancers combined. Fortunately, however, approximately 80 percent of cardiac events can be prevented with education and lifestyle changes.
Go Red For Women inspires women to make lifestyle changes, mobilize communities, and shape policies to save lives and improve the health of women in our communities.
National Wear Red Day is the first Friday of February, and is a special day designated to bringing attention to the facts of heart disease and garnering awareness. This Friday, we encourage everyone to wear red, raise their voices, know their cardiovascular risk and take action to live longer, healthier lives.
