Lincoln HR Department News
Fall 2023
Welcome New HR Director - Paula Robinette
Hello Lincoln Family - I am excited to be joining the Central Office team as the new Director of Human Resources. Since joining Lincoln in 2004 , I've had the privilege of working with our students as a paraprofessional, special education teacher, and building administrator. I look forward to utilizing the skills I've gained from all of these experiences and hope to secure your trust in this new adventure. Don't be surprised if you see me in your buildings. I'm excited to see old friends, meet new staff, and find out what's important to you! Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Paula Robinette
Business Office Reminders
- The accounts payable calendar has not changed. Accounts payable is ran every two weeks. Purchase orders and invoices must be received by accounts payable by the Tuesday of each week that accounts payable is ran. Missing this deadline means that payments to vendors or reimbursements to staff could be delayed. Payments through student activity accounts will continue to be ran weekly. Click here for the Accounts Payable Calendar
- The payroll calendar has changed significantly for the 23-24 school year. The payroll calendar can be found on the district website (click here). Red Rover timesheets are automatically submitted on the pay period end date. Informedk12 forms must be submitted and reviewed by your administrator by the payroll cutoff date at 5pm. Forms should be submitted to your administrator well before that date/time. Please speak with your administrator about the deadlines they have for their review and approval process.
- The submission of time needs to be completed through Red Rover. When time is missed on a timesheet, a missed pay form can be completed (Hourly Missed Pay Form or Salary Check Request) can be completed and submitted for approval. Time worked and/or absences that are missed through the regular Red Rover process should be submitted through informedk12 no more than 1-month past the date worked. Anything past this 1-month expectation could be denied by your administrator or the Human Resources Department.
*Best practice is to enter your time in Red Rover daily*
- Changes to direct deposit information must be completed through eSuite. Paper forms through inter-office mail or by email are not accepted. If you need help changing your direct deposit, there are instructions (here) on the lincolnk12.org website or reach out to the business office to make an appointment. The payroll cutoff date is identified for each pay period on the payroll calendar. Anything received after this date will not be changed. It is especially important to change your direct deposit information in eSuite BEFORE you close your current bank account. Late changes could result in a delay of your payment. Please do not include your banking information or SSN in an email.
- If you have insurance through the district, premiums are deducted through eighteen pays identified on the payroll calendar. If, during these eighteen pays, you do not receive a paycheck AND receive insurance through the district, the missed deductions will be caught up on subsequent checks.

2023-2024 Covid-19 and Sickness Guidance for Schools
Per The Washtenaw County Health Department
#1 Stay home if you are sick. Students and staff who feel sick should stay home and away from others as much as possible.
Covid Cases: If a student/staff is positive, they must stay home for 5 days after symptom onset AND until symptoms have improved and fever free for 24 hours. Mask use is recommended for days 6-10.
Positive Covid Case at Home: If a student/staff has a household member that is positive or has come in contact with a positive case, the student/staff must wear a mask to school. If the student/staff is unable to mask, it is preferred that the student/staff is tested before coming to school. (The school will not be doing on site testing, covid test must be done at home). If testing is not feasible, the student/staff may come to school as long as they are symptom free.
Notification of a positive Covid case: Please be aware that there will be occasional covid cases in school. The school will NOT be notifying families of individual covid cases, however there will be notification if there is an outbreak.
Other illnesses: Please call and notify the school if your student is sick, and keep them home until symptoms improve and they are fever free for 24 hours WITHOUT fever reducing medication. We want to stop the spread to others when we are able to do so!

IMPORTANT MILLAGE INFORMATION
Mark Your Calendars! Election Day - Tuesday, November 7. Lincoln will have two millage renewals on the ballot for the fall election. We will be sharing additional information about the proposals in upcoming communications.
Non-Homestead Millage Renewal- Operating Millage Renewal Proposal
What is this millage?
This proposal will allow the school district to levy the statutory rate of 18 mills on all property, except principal residence and other property exempted by law, required for the school district to receive its revenue per pupil foundation allowance and renews millage that will expire with the 2023 tax levy. How much will the millage cost homeowners?
If approved, homeowners will not see an increase in their property taxes on their primary residence. This is not a new tax. It is a proposal to continue the existing 18 mill assessment on non-homestead properties. How will this millage be used?
The district relies heavily on an 18.1067 non-homestead tax to operate its schools. The 18-mill operational tax is levied on commercial and non-exempt agricultural properties which allows us to receive our full state funding. It is projected to generate $5,370,419 in 2025.
Recreation Millage Renewal - Lincoln Consolidated School District Millage Renewal Proposal To Provide Funds To Operate A System Of Public Recreation And Playgrounds
What is this millage?
This millage renewal will raise funds for continued support of Lincoln Community Programs, including Lincoln Golden Ages Seniors, Lincoln Community Education, and Lincoln Recreation programs. How much will the millage cost?
If approved, homeowners will not see an increase in mills collected. This is not a new tax. The proposed millage renewal is .0943 mill ($0.943 on each $1,000.00 of taxable valuation) for a period of 5 years and will cost the homeowner of a $200,000 home $9.43 per year. How will this millage be used?
This millage will cover administrative, facilities maintenance, and operational costs for community recreation programs, including senior citizens. The passing of this millage will support the expansion of programs and help ensure that the participation fees are kept affordable.
Lincoln Athletics - Game Management Staff Openings!
There are several opportunities to be a part of our Game Management Team at Lincoln home games throughout the fall, winter and spring seasons. It is extremely helpful and valuable to hire LHS staff members to be a part of our team and to assist with game management jobs (crowd control, clock operator, ticket takers, pass check, etc.).
We pay our athletic game workers at a rate of $12/hour which is added to your district paycheck. I have attached the fall sign-up link below, please consider signing up for as many events as you are available to work. I really appreciate your consideration and assistance. Please be sure that if you do sign up, understand that I am counting on you to work and not necessarily be able to watch the games.
SPREAD THE NEWS!
We need our amazing staff to help spread the word about Lincoln!
